Invention Video: The 3000+ Inventions of Dr. NakaMats

According to this invention video, Dr. Nakamas has shattered the record for most patents held that was formerly held by Thomas Edison. He currently holds over 3000 patents and is Japan's most prolific inventors. One of this most influential inventions was the floppy disk, which he invented when he was 23 years old as a student.

BBC's series on Adam and Joe go Tokyo, interviews Dr. Nakamas. It's an amusing and yet informative opportunity to see Dr. Nakamas, one of the most prolific inventors of all time, show off a few of his inventions, like the Love Spray.

The video is about 6 minutes long. Enjoy.

Most patents

I would like to know how long it takes to get a patent issued in Japan. The article link below states tha Thomas Edison had 1093 patents and Dr. NakaMats has 3218. Why are they just now saying he broke the record when he has almost 3 times the amount of Edison?

He claims to have invented numerous items that others claim to have invented and are on record as the Inventors. His inventing method is nuts at best claiming to deprive himself of air until he is .05 seconds away from death and then writing down what flashes into his mind at that time.

He also claims his first invention at the age of 5, which was an automatic gravity adjustment equipment, basically inventing how all airplanes fly now.  Isn't that the gyro? The article doesn't say when he got his first patent, but here is another amazing issue which is why I want to know the average length of time it takes to issue a patent in japan. lets say he got his first patent at age 13. He is around 65 now. So, over the last 52 years he is averaging getting 61.8 patents issued a year. Does anyone think that is anywhere near possible in the U.S.A for an individual?

He also claims to have a engine that runs completely off water. If that is I would think that every automaker in Japan would be selling their cars outfited with this motor

Read this article in Ping magazine. You will see he is a brillant person if all his claims are true and a great hype salesperson.

I want to know if they could make that set even darker. Is it me or does anyone else think they could've used a couple more lights?

Dr NakaFRAUD

This guy is a fraud...he goes around telling a bunch of lies just to get famous.

I got so fucking disappointed.
I read an interview with him and I thought
he was the real deal...the guy that invented the floppy disk, digital watch, compact disc.... Even saved his tips to get more creative. That was until I knew that NO ONE in the world recognizes him as the inventor of these things, only himself.....Son of a bitch!!

He only invent stupid shit....but is a patent addict,  meaning he spends his days in the patent office patenting everything silly, like phrases or what have you, and of course, patenting things ALREADY invented that weren't patented specifically in Japan.

Joe and Adam knew that he's just a poor fellow trying to pose as one of the greatest, and it's obvious how they make fun of him in the show.
